The Power of coaching

Do you know why coaching is so powerful? Well, let me tell you what happened to me last week.

I am fifty years old, (shocker I know, I don’t look a day over 25!) and last week in a 20-minute speed coaching session with my wonderful coach, Penny, I was able to understand a behaviour of mine that I have probably been engaging in for the past forty years without even realising I had a choice. In answering one of her questions, it became clear to me that I have been mimicking the behaviour of an important person in my life.

And here's the thing: in a matter of seconds, I not only became aware of this behaviour but also realized that I had a choice. I could choose to behave differently. This is the power of coaching. It gives you a new perspective on your life, helps you identify and overcome limiting beliefs, and empowers you to make conscious choices that serve you better.

Many of our day to day habits are developed in our childhood. We take them for granted and adopt them subconsciously without questioning them. Coaching can bring awareness to this and allow us to reclaim our decision making process. Coaches are able to do this by remaining curious and open towards their clients and gently probing and questioning around a topic. This allows the client to see things from a new perspective.

Whether you're looking to improve your personal or professional life, coaching provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. . If you're struggling with any aspect of your life, consider working with a coach who can help you see things more clearly and move forward with confidence.
